Biography
Geetanjali is an iCRAG postdoctoral research fellow based in UCD, currently working in the project "Multi-scale Investigation of Bio-Based Mineral Precipitation in Carbonate Bearing Granular Soils and Construction Related Waste" in the School of Civil Engineering. Her research work aims to improve the properties of Blessington Quarry sands from Ireland by subjecting them to Microbial-induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP) and Enzyme-Induced Carbonate Precipitation (EICP) treatment. Prior to this, she obtained her PhD from École Centrale de Nantes, France with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering, where she worked extensively in soil improvement through through mechanical and chemical means. Her research work involves in-depth macroscale and microscale evaluations for Geotechnical Engineering applications.
