Sounds for Sustainability - Climate Folk – Dance of the Carbon Cycles
Dublin, Ireland, 6th and 7th June 2025

Call for Participation

The Sounds for Sustainability initiative, developed within the SHiFT COST Action (Social Sciences and Humanities for Transformation and Climate Resilience - CA21166), explores the intersection of sound, sustainability, and climate resilience, bringing together researchers, artists, policymakers, and practitioners from various disciplines. This initiative aims to deepen our understanding of how acoustic environments reflect and influence ecological and social transformations and how sonic elements—both natural and human-made—can be harnessed for a more sustainable future.

The SHiFT COST Action (CA21166) is offering travel and participation grants for 10 early-career researchers, artists, and practitioners coming from COST Member Countries. Selection criteria will prioritize geographical diversity, gender balance, and COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy.

Deadline for Submissions: April 30, 2025

For more information on how to submit a proposal please visit the SHiFT website: (opens in a new window)https://shift-cost.eu/sounds-for-sustainability-climate-folk-dance-of-the-carbon-cycles/
