Prof. Jonathan Craig

Biography

Prof. Jonathan Craig obtained his B.Sc. Degree from the University of Nottingham in 1976 and his Ph.D. from the University of Wales in 1984. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Boards of CASP, CeREES University of Durham and the Scott Polar Research Institute, University of Cambridge, a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists House of Delegates and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Maghreb Petroleum Research Group at University College, London. In 2002, he was awarded an Honorary Professorship by the University of London, as Visiting Professor of Petroleum Geology at University College. He is currently also Visiting Professor at the University of Jammu in India. From 2000 to 2003, Jonathan was Head of Projects and Chief Geologist of the ENI London Technical Exchange. In 2003, he was appointed a Global Exploration Advisor and the Prospect Evaluation Manager and subsequently as the Manager, Geological Services for Eni.  He is now Head of Regional Geoscience Studies and New Opportunities Selection based in Eni’s Head Office in Milan, Italy, with responsibility for ENI’s global programme of basin and regional exploration evaluation.
