iCRAG researcher Dr Anna Bidgood has been awarded the President’s Award by the Geological Society of London. The award is conferred upon early career geoscientists who show significant early promise and are judged to have potential to be future leaders in their fields.
The award recognises the significance of Anna’s research on metamorphism and mineral growth in the Central African Copperbelt. Anna’s research is of critical importance to a sustainable future for our society. Through her work in iCRAG, she aims to add to scientific understanding of mineral growth and metal mobility in salty systems such as in the Central African Copperbelt. This will assist industry with exploration strategies for the vital minerals and metals our society relies on.
