Biography

Halleluya Ekandjo is a PhD researcher in the iCRAG raw materials spoke. Halleluya graduated with MSc in Economic Geology from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2017. She has spent most of her time exploring for base metals in Namibia.

There is a long-term demand growth for base metals to match the growth rate of economies in developing countries. My research combines geological and metallurgical knowledge to add the existing understanding of the Rosh Pinah deposit, which will ultimately assist with exploration, mining and metal recoveries.

Technical description

This research project will focus on understanding the mineralogy and geochemistry of the Neoproterozoic Rosh Pinah Zn-Pb deposit in Namibia. Facies variability mapping and structural analysis both at deposit and regional scale will be carried out.
