Biography
Prof. Croot is co-lead of iCRAG’s safeguarding the geomarine environment research challenge and the established Professor of Earth and Ocean Sciences in the School of Natural Sciences in NUIG. Prof. Croot’s research interests include the development of analytical methods to determine trace metal speciation under ambient in situ conditions. This includes a variety of techniques from mass spectrometry, voltammetry and flow injection techniques utilising chemiluminescence or spectrofluorescence analysis.
