Biography
Yining Li is a postdoctoral researcher at iCRAG. She earned her BSc in Oil and Gas Geology from Northwest University (China) in 2018 and completed her Ph.D. in Geochemistry at the same institution in 2023. During her academic journey, she broadened her horizons as a visiting student at ETH Zurich and Curtin University.
Yining's doctoral research employed geochemical (C, O, and Mg isotopes and elements) and petrological techniques to investigate the sedimentary history and diagenetic alterations of Ordovician marine carbonate rocks from the Ordos Basin, China.
Her current postdoctoral work is centered on geochemistry and petrography, contributing to ongoing research projects primarily focused on mineral deposits in Ireland and the Central African Copperbelt.
